Minion Enterprise has a shiny new interface!

The short, short version: Minion Enterprise has a beautiful new GUI we want to show you! Sign up for the January 15 webinar here.

And now, at normal speed…

Minion’s command line origins

Years ago, our resident visionary and original MidnightDBA Sean McCown was the only DBA for a company with over 1,000 SQL Server instances. Like any DBA in his position, he started automating tasks and alerting in pure self defense. He managed that environment by himself for a year, and likes to tell how he went home on time and didn’t lose sleep. (He’s telling the truth.)

That’s what Minion Enterprise is for: making 1,000 servers as easy to manage as 1. Take a look at the ME page and the features list PDF to get a better idea of how we achieve this!

Most database administrators start coding these kinds of things…there are just too many tasks to take on. You have to start automating things. The difference is that we made it our full time job to keep going, to perfect this automation and management.

If you’d like, we’d be happy to to show it off to you.

New and improved: ME has a shiny user interface!

While we usually prefer to run stored procedures and queries against the Minion Enterprise data – I mean, hey, there’s nothing like enabling ‘optimize for ad hoc workloads’ for 78 instances at once! – we do recognize that a GUI can be awfully convenient sometimes.

So, we made one! If you’d like to see it, sign up for the January 15 webinar here.

Minion Enterprise GUI

We debuted the Minion Enterprise user interface beta at PASS Summit last year. It’s beautiful, user friendly, and you can still run command and reports against half a zillion instances at once.

As always, you can contact us for your own personal demo (or trial!) at MinionWareSales@MidnightDBA.com. And, check us out on Twitter and on the Forums!
